Congratulations to V.I. Lysak on his 75th anniversary

Please accept our heartfelt congratulations on your jubilee!
You have devoted your entire life to your alma mater. Having graduated with honors from Volgograd Polytechnic Institute, you have walked the path at the Department of Welding Production from engineer, senior researcher, associate professor, to professor and head of department. A significant period of your career has been active and productive work in the rector's office, including serving as rector of the university during the merger and creation of the flagship university. As the scientific director of Volgograd State Technical University, you continue to ensure the dynamic development of the largest university in the region, which today is among the leaders of Southern Russia and a participant in the "Priority 2030" program, ensuring growth in R&D volume, the number and quality of publications, as well as competitive patent solutions.
Your personal contribution to the development of Russian science cannot be overstated. You are an outstanding scientist, an Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the head of a world-renowned scientific school in the field of explosion welding and the production of composite materials. Your fundamental works have opened new perspectives in materials science, and the technologies developed under your leadership have been implemented at dozens of enterprises in the metallurgy, energy, aerospace, and defense industries of Russia, including RSC Energia, Volzhsky Pipe Plant, Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP, as well as abroad.
You pay special attention to the training of scientific personnel; under your direct supervision, 7 doctoral and 33 candidate dissertations have been defended. It is also necessary to note your significant contribution to organizing effective work with doctoral students from across the university and their supervisors.
