Volgograd youth projects-winners of the federal grant competition

Three young Volgograd residents who became winners of a grant competition "Territory of Meanings" will receive more than a million rubles for an implementation of their ideas. The initiatives are aimed at organizing a school of scholarship commissions, a program for adapting new students and helping residents who have suffered from COVID-19.

According to the regional Committee of Education, Science and Youth Policy, Ivan Belyakov, a student of VSTU, received a grant of 400 thousand rubles as part of his project "ProfSkills. The school-seminar of scholarship commissions" organizes training of the university self-government representatives on payment of scholarships, material support, the basic rights and obligations of students.

Irina Pestsova, who won a grant in the amount of 500 thousand rubles, will launch the adaptation program "Mentor of VGSPU" at her university. From August to December 2021, a number of events will be held within the framework of her project, including an educational forum, meetings with student councils of dormitories, city tours for international students, "Freshman Day", an informal communication of mentors with groups.

The grant in the amount of 110 thousand rubles, which was received by a student of VolgSMU, Timur Sizhazhev, will be directed to an implementation of informational project "Revival". Universities of the region will become platforms for lectures with demonstrations of rehabilitation measures to restore a functional state of various body systems after COIVID-19. Detailed instructions and a description of the methods will also be posted on social networks.
