The Consul General of Uzbekistan, Rustam Kurganbaev, and the 1st Secretary-Consul, Khujabakhlil Asamov from Rostov-on-Don, paid a short working visit to the VSTU.
At the very beginning of the visit – there was a meeting with students from Uzbekistan, where high-ranking guests talked with their young countrymen. Alexey Yefimovich Godenko, Dean of Faculty for Foreign Students' Training, introduced the guests to the students. It should be noted that 274 people from this wonderful, sunny and hospitable country are studying at our university today.
Then there was a meeting of the Consul General and the 1st Secretary-Consul with the First Vice-rector of the VSTU, Sergey Viktorovich Kuzmin.
Sergey Viktorovich Kuzmin told the guests about the history of our university, its heroic military past, and the post-war period. And he also told about events, which are taking place at the university today.
Sergey Viktorovich Kuzmin noted VSTU scientists` success, their scientific developments and publication activity, both in national and in the world rankings, includes such an authoritative one as the Times Higher Education.
The meeting ended with an exchange of souvenirs.
And then an excursion to the Museum of History and Science of VSTU was organized to make the story about the university more illustrative.
