On February 27, third-year architecture students from the Department of Urbanism and Architecture Theory visited the Volgograd office of IBS Company, a technology partner for Russian business leaders.
Ekaterina Fomenko, Director of the IBS regional center in Volgograd, explained that IBS includes a design bureau working on comprehensive architectural, structural, and engineering solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
The open house began with an office tour, including open-plan workspaces, meeting rooms, a cafeteria, and a relaxation area.
Olga Belovolova, Head of the internship department, discussed corporate culture, benefits, and internship opportunities.
Design engineer Ivan Sazhin shared his professional journey and analyzed real projects, giving students insight into in-demand skills. Belovolova also provided advice on interview preparation.
The excursion was a key career guidance step, helping students connect academic knowledge with real-world requirements.
"The meeting built a bridge between academic education and the real economy," commented Ilya Pleshakov, Senior Lecturer. "Direct dialogue helps students navigate their future profession."
