Students of the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of VSTU are Prize-Winners of the All-Russian Student Olympiad

From April 8 to 10, the final stage of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in the field of study "Construction," specializing in "Industrial and Civil Engineering," and the specialty "Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures" was held at Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering. Nearly 90 students from 15 universities across the country competed for the victory.

The Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of VSTU was represented at the competition by a team of five people. Participants were required to complete comprehensive tasks in architecture, structural mechanics and design, soil mechanics and foundations, as well as construction organization and management.

Our students successfully passed all the tests and demonstrated a high level of training. The results of the Olympiad are as follows:

  • Irina Sultanova — 2nd place in the "Structural Mechanics" category;
  • Alena Bondarenko — 3rd place in the "Structural Design" category;
  • Victoria Zastavnaya — 3rd place in the "Soil Mechanics and Foundations" category;
  • Anastasia Cheblukova — 3rd place in the "Architecture" category;
  • Nikolay Maksyutov — participant diploma.

Maxim Bochkov, Associate Professor of the Department of Structural Mechanics at the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, received a letter of gratitude for his highly professional work as a member of the Olympiad jury.

In addition to the intense competition days, the Olympiad participants enjoyed a rich cultural program — an exciting excursion around Kazan was organized for them.
