Representatives of VSTU took part in the conference "Polymers and composites on their basis: applied and environmental solutions" in Kazan

The Federal Research Center of Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FIC KazanSC of RAS) hosted the All–Russian Conference " Polymers and composites on their basis: applied and environmental solutions" on April 21-24.
The conference was devoted to a relevant topic – the development and application of new superconstructive polymers and composite materials based on them. The objective of the conference was to pool scientific knowledge and production, researchers and polymer manufacturers, as well as developers and manufacturers of polymer processing equipment. Important issues were raised about the future of polymers (not only import substitution of polymer materials, but also polymer processing, dealing with polymer waste and other environmental aspects), government support for research and production in the field of polymers.
The conference gathered more than 200 participants. The reports were devoted not only to applied, but also to fundamental aspects of polymer materials development.
Our university was represented by Alexander Ozerin, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the FAHP Department, who made an oral presentation on "Water-soluble polymers as stabilizers of metal-containing particles of various nature", and Ilya Ivanov, a graduate student of the HTMAP-2 group, who participated in a poster session with the report "Investigation of the effect of a selective solvent on the ionic conductivity of a mixed TPE".
