VSTU scientists have worked on the XII International conference «Reduced-flammability polymer materials».

At the premises of All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection of the EMERCOM of Russia the XII International conference «Reduced-flammability polymer materials» has been held.

The conference is one of the most popular and established scientific events in the sphere of development and technology of polymeric materials. It all started in 1978, and by 1981, under the auspices of the USSR Academy of Sciences it had evolved into the thematic All-Union conference «Fire-Retardant Polymeric Materials: Problems of Property Assessment» and «Polymer Combustion and the Development of Reduced-Flammability Materials».

Established scientists of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, employees of the EMERCOM of Russia and other institutions from Ivanovo, Ural and St. Petersburg took part in the science forum.

VSTU was represented by a substantial delegation of staff and postgraduate students. Professors of various institutions have delivered plenary lectures.

VSTU was awarded a special diploma for its active and long-standing participation in the conference.

The conference participants took a tour of the All-Russian Order «Badge of Honor» Research Institute for Fire Protection of the EMERCOM of Russia, where they visited the largest testing ground in Russia.
