The start of the new season of the National Award "VYZOV" was announced at the Future Technologies Forum. Submissions for the award can be made starting February 25 on the website premiyavyzov.rf. The National Award in the Field of Future Technologies "VYZOV" was established in 2023. It is presented for high-tech developments and research that have significant potential to change people's lives for the better.
"It is symbolic that it is at the Future Technologies Forum that we launch the new, fourth season of the National Award in the Field of Future Technologies 'VYZOV'. It is aimed at popularizing scientific knowledge and increasing the prestige of the scientist profession. These are key tasks of the Decade of Science and Technology, announced by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. It is gratifying that 'VYZOV' is becoming increasingly popular. Last year, we received a record number of applications – more than 600 from 40 countries. It is important that science and technology are supported not only by the state, but also by business and the non-profit sector. The award is open to scientists from all over the world – their achievements are recognized in a special international nomination," said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Vyzov Foundation.
The organizer and founder of the award is the Vyzov Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Cultural Ties. The co-founder is Gazprombank.
"If today we help scientists develop their projects, then tomorrow these projects will become low-tech companies, and the day after tomorrow – large high-tech corporations. It is important for us to support ideas and innovations that will transform into new industries in the future. Furthermore, we want to show young people that science today can make them successful, that it is not only their calling and area of interest, but also an opportunity to develop truly significant projects and change our future," noted Dmitry Sauers, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank.
Over three years, the number of applications for the "VYZOV" award has nearly tripled: from 218 in 2023 to 632 in 2025. Over the three seasons of the award, more than 1,400 applications were submitted from 52 countries. The award's Scientific Committee includes renowned scientists and science popularizers.
"We live in interesting and challenging times. Right now, a scientific and technological revolution is taking place, the unity of the world is shattered, and the economies of most countries are sliding into crisis. The world is transforming; we do not yet know what it will become, but we do know for sure that its appearance will be shaped by the scientific and technological breakthroughs happening now. The 'VYZOV' award was created precisely to highlight these breakthroughs and support those who create them," believes Artem Oganov, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the National Award in the Field of Future Technologies "VYZOV" and Distinguished Professor at Skoltech.
The "VYZOV" award is presented in 5 nominations: "Perspective", "Breakthrough", "Engineering Solution", "Scientist of the Year", and "Discovery" (international nomination). Partners of the award include the Rosatom State Corporation, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Moscow City Government. This year, the prize fund has increased to 65 million rubles.
