VSTU significantly improves its positions in the world university ranking Times Higher Education 2021 in nomination “Engineering and technologies”

Volgograd state technical university is included in group 601 – 800.
Last year the university occupied the position 801+.
In total the ranking includes 42 Russian universities in this nomination. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University is on the first place. The second place is occupied by the Bauman Moscow State Technical university (BMSTU) and the third place belongs to Lomonosov State University of Moscow (MSU).
The ranking of the world higher educational institutions 2021, connected with engineering and technological fields, uses the same strict and well-balanced range of 13 performance indicators, which are used in the overall world university ranking, but the methodology has been changed in order to comply with specific areas of study.
The ranking includes the universities which are leaders in the field of general engineering, electric engineering and electronic devices, aerospace engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering.
