The Rector of VSTU visited the campus and met the students from the dormitories №№ 3 and 4

The Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak visited the campus
and met the students from the dormitories №№ 3 and 4. The Head of the campus
and the supervisors of the campus met the guests.

This dormitory is involved in the preparation to the World Football Championship
that will take place this summer in 11 Russian cities, including Volgograd. The
workers of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate will come to the 5 th and the 6 th
buildings of the campus №4 for the temporary living during the period of the
World Cup. 300 workers of the law-enforcement agencies will live in the selected
buildings.

It’s necessary to prepare all the rooms and shorten the spring examination period: it
is to be ended on the 25 th of May in accordance with the Rector’s order № 640
signed on the 1st of December 2017.

The participants of the meeting discussed the development of VSTU and its tasks.
Vladimir Lysak remarked that the specialists’ training had to be organized
according to the best world standards and high technologies.

Then Vladimir Lysak answered the students’ questions and invited them to the
election of the President of the Russian Federation on the 18 th of March and the
first referendum of Volgograd District “Chose your time”.
