The Rector of VSTU Vladimir Lysak summed up the work of the University during the Rectors’ Council

The cooperation of the district and the Universities in the specialists’ training, formation of the industrial and technological parks at the Universities and the young people’s education were discussed during the Council of the Rectors of Volgograd District. The Governor of Volgograd District Andrey Bocharov took part in the meeting.

The Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak summed up the work of the University. Nowadays the cooperation agreements of the profile Universities and Administration of the District are completed in order to solve the tasks of the innovative development of the economy of industrial, engineering and agricultural-industrial complexes. The Regional Projects Office is planned at VSTU and the children’s technical park “Kvantorium” will open here in 2018

VSTU will realize 45 investment projects in the industrial sector of Volgograd District till 2027. The positive result is achieved with the dual educational system that combines the education and the industrial practice. More than 400 graduates were trained with this system.

The base chairs of VSTU have the enterprises-partners: “Automated Units” – “Titan-Barricades”; “Organic and Petrochemical Synthesis Technology” – “Kustik” and “Volzhsky orgsynthesis”; “Economy of energetic complex” – “Lukoil-Electric grids”; “Modern oil-and-gas technologies” – “Lukoil-Engineering”.

According to Vladimir Lysak’s words, the Universities have learnt how to earn money, realizing the scientific research, additional educational services and engineering specialists’ re-training. The young people study where they will work. The University feels the constant attention and support from the Government of the district.

Nowadays 10 state and municipal Universities, 3 non-state Universities and its affiliates work in the district. The total number of the students 74,4.
