The first forum of rectors of Russian and Vietnamese universities finished its work in Hanoi

The Russian delegation which comprised rectors of 29 Russian universities was headed by a deputy minister of Science and Higher education of the Russian Federation – A.M. Medvedev. Alexey Medvedev delivered a report at the session of a Russian-Vietnamese commission on scientific and technical cooperation, in which designate rector of the flagship VSTU – A.V. Navrotskiy took part. The deputy minister pointed out that education is one of the top-priority areas of cooperation between Russia and Vietnam, the main result of which is the increase of Russian governmental quotas which are annually allocated for Vietnam. He also underlined the necessity to enhance exchange of students and teachers as well as scientific - research activities.
In his turn deputy minister of education and staff training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam – Le Hai An talked about Russian and Vietnamese cooperation in the sphere of education and specialists’ training, expressed his hope for further fruitful cooperation, thanked everyone for their attendance and participation in such an important event and wished health, happiness and well-being.
Designate rector of VSTU Alexander Valentinovich pointed out that our technical university is highly-demanded in Vietnam. Yesterday during the work of the forum and after it during the session of a commission, in course of numerous meetings, the head of VSTU received proposals from rectors of Vietnamese universities on cooperation. Besides, in Hanoi A.V. Navrotskiy numerous times talked to the graduates of VSTU who work successfully in different spheres in their native county. They are grateful to Volgograd State Technical University for given knowledge, which helps them a lot in life.
The first forum of rectors of Russian and Vietnamese universities was organized in best traditions of Russian-Vietnamese partnership, for the purpose of exchange of ideas on the priority objectives which have Russian and Vietnamese universities and in the best interests of further development of contacts in educational and scientific spheres. We hope that the forum will contribute to sharing experience and best practices and will help to unite scientific society in order to achieve the set goals.
