The creation of Kvantorium was discussed at VSTU

Yesterday VSTU became the platform for discussion of the development of the regional innovative infrastructure of additional education for children and young people. Volgograd Region supported the initiative of creation of the technical parks for children “Kvantorium” aimed at the children’s accelerated development in research and technical areas.

According to the project, the first technical park will be created in the new academic building of VSTU. Its creation was discussed by the Vice-Governor of Volgograd Region Alexander Sivakov, Head of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in Southern Federal District Eugeniy Doroshenko, social Representative of Agency for Strategic Initiatives in “New Business” Area in Volgograd Region Alexander Andreev and the University Authorities - Vladimir Lysak, Rector of VSTU, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences; Ivan Novakov, President of VSTU, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences and Alexander Navrotsky, the first Vice-Rector of VSTU.

The Rector of VSTU told about the achievements of our University. He remarked that VSTU had the advantage of having the manufacturing platform - Volzhsky Complex of Research and Technology: education, research and manufacture are inseparably associated at VSTU. According to Alexander Sivakov’s words, the “Kvantorium” will involve the children in research and technical activity and become the real foundry of engineering specialists.
