The delegation of the Volgograd region headed by the vice-governor Vladimir Shkarin started its work in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Participation in the forum on attraction of foreign investments, international council of business cooperation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the countries, belonging to the Caspian Sea Region “Business Caspian”, meetings with officials and business talks of business representatives of two countries are planned within this visit.
The delegation from Volgograd comprises representatives of scientific circles, business associations, executives of more than dozen companies, who are interested in extension of export supplies of goods and services. Regional Export Support Center and Volgograd Chamber of Commerce are the organizers of this business-mission.
The first vice-rector Sergey Viktorovich Kuzmin and the head of economic planning department of Volzhskiy scientific and technical complex of the technical university Oleg Evgenievich Senibabnov represent VSTU- a flagship university-in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The program of the visit was opened by the meeting with vice-minister of science, researches and technologies of the Islamic Republic of Iran on international issues. Khossein Salar Amoly and members of the Volgograd delegation discussed questions, concerning the extension of interaction in innovative, technological and educational spheres, showed their interest in conducting collaborative studies, organization of internships and exchange of students. VSTU and VSMU are ready to work actively in this direction.
Also, on the first day of visit the negotiations between business representatives were held. Manufacturers of oil and gas equipment, rubber tyres and animal products were among Volgograd companies - participants of the business-mission.
Recall that the memorandum on cooperation between the Volgograd region and Iranian province of Mazandaran in trade, economic, innovation-technological and socio-cultural spheres, signed by the governor Andrey Bocharov and the head of the province Mokhammad Eslami, has been in force since the previous year.
