Polytechnics participated in the championship “Young professionals” (WorldSkills Russia)


V Open regional championship “Young professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) was held in the region from 11th to 16th of November 2019. This year the participants have competed at the stadium “Volgograd Arena”.

The competitive program was very intensive. The participants competed in the following areas of knowledge: “Electronics”, “Web-design and operation”, “Assembly of electrical devices”, “Brickwork”, “Drywall systems and plastery”, “Painting and Ornamental Works”, “Hairdressing”, “Aesthetic Cosmetology”, “Operation and maintenance of motor-cars”, “Restaurant service”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Social work” and others.

Vice-dean of the faculty of Economics and management of VSTU, associate professor at the department of Economics and entrepreneurship A.V. Evstratov and associate professor of the department of Management and finance of manufacturing systems of VSTU I.A. Ezangin acted as independent experts within the competence area R11 “Entrepreneurship “.

In this area the teams demonstrated professional skills of making business-projects within stage-by-stage, three day performance of the competitive task. Solving different problems, the participants not only defended their “home” project, but promptly managed its development. Reasonable economic assessment of the components of the business process: production, financial support, management of labour forces, marketing, became the key point of the successful defense of the project in front of a jury.

Visiting experts considered the applied creative orientation of the defenses, focused on the development of entrepreneurial skills, the warm atmosphere of the interaction of competitors, mentors, the business community and the organizers of the competition to be very valuable.
