Foreign students of the flagship university took part in a festive event on the Soldiers’ Field

On May 8 foreign students of the flagship university Bekhzod Akhmedov, Zhasurbek Khakimov Seiitdzhan Ikramov, Mukhammed Agamedov participated in the festive event on the Soldiers’ Field, dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The holiday was organized by Volgograd regional branch of the International non-governmental foundation “Russian Peace Foundation”.
Veterans and homefront workers were guests of the event. For them children’s dancing groups and Russian folk singers prepared their creative performances. Administration of the Gorodishchensky district pronounced an opening speech.
Students from Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan and Kazakhstan warmly greeted the veterans and all the participants of the holiday. Zhasurbek Khakimov told about the contribution of citizens of Uzbekistan to the Victory. Bekhzod Akhmedov declaimed the poem “Wait for me” written by K. Simonov in 1941. On behalf of young people of their countries foreign students thanked veterans for their act of bravery, wished them good health and congratulated them on the holiday.
After the concert field kitchen and wartime songs were waiting for veterans and guests.
