Regional Natural History Lectures “Native Shore” at VSTU

The traditional Regional Natural History lectures “Native Shore” are taking place today at VSTU. The students of the Flagship University, its affiliates and other Volgograd and Volzhsky Universities gathered to talk about their native shore and its inhabitants, share the results of the research work.
Opening the event, Olga Sitnikova, Vice-Head of the Organizing Committee and Associate Professor of the Chair “History, Culture and Sociology” remarked that the young people’s interest in the Regional Natural History lectures didn’t disappear.
The third-grade pupils from Volgograd gymnasium №3 presented the cognitive coloring book “We are drawing Volgograd”. It proves that Volgograd is an interesting city famous for its culture, not only for military history. Then the results of the several contests of the patriotic forum “Great-grandchildren of the Victory” were declared.
Olga Sitnikova invited the participants to visit 6 sections: “Travelling in space and time”, “Memory Chronicle in stone”, “Mentality of the native city”, “My dear countrymen” and “So far the candle is burning” and “My native shore: remarkable is near!”.
