The open laboratory class at VPI

The open laboratory class took place at Volzhsky Polytechnical Institute (Affiliate) of VSTU on the 10th of February (Russian Science Day). Almost 300 persons (students of the Institute and technical college, pupils and their parents) visited the international research and educational event on the platform of VPI.
The participants aged 10 and older answered the questions about the world around from the heads of laboratory. All the testers tried to find the right answer and explain it. The best testers of VPI got the presents from the heads of laboratory.
Then the participants saw the show program and visited the exposition of the “Einstein Museum”. They were very impressed with the manipulations with nitrogen and carbonic ice during the experiments with cryogenic effects.
The Director of Volzhsky Polytechnical Institute Alexander Fetisov was glad to see the citizens’ interest in the open laboratory class. According to his words, they aspired to the knowledge and were ready to the intellectual rest.
The open laboratory class is an event testing Russian inhabitants’ literacy that will take place in China, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other countries.
Volzhskiy Polytechnical Institute thanks all the participants who dedicated their weekend to the knowledge. Now we invite you to take part in the total dictation that will take place in April.
